We believe in empowering communities from the ground up, combining two crucial pillars to drive meaningful change:
Leadership Development Program: Faith in Action Alabama strengthens the leadership capacity of its dedicated volunteers. Through comprehensive trainings and skill-building workshops, we equip individuals with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively advocate for their communities and lead impactful campaigns.
Community Organizing & Campaign Building: Our campaigns are volunteer-led, driven by the voices and needs of those most affected by injustice. We work collaboratively to identify pressing issues, conduct thorough research, and develop and implement campaigns at the local and state levels to promote opportunity for all Alabamians.
In 2025, FIAA is focused on key objectives that will bring about significant positive change across Alabama
The People’s Agenda serves as the guiding document for FIAA’s state legislative work, outlining our long-term vision for a more just Alabama. Our key priorities include:
Advocating for policies that direct resources and opportunities to areas that have historically been overlooked and underserved.
Working towards reforms that ensure fairness, accountability, and rehabilitation within Alabama’s judicial and carceral systems.
Championing policies that provide high-quality education for all students, regardless of their geographic location or socioeconomic status.
Our process for creating change is systematic and community-driven. It begins with identifying issues directly from the community, followed by thorough research, developing policy proposals, engaging in advocacy with decision-makers, and finally, working towards the successful implementation of those policies for lasting impact.
