Building Pathways of Opportunity for All Alabamians

Empowering a multiracial, multifaith community to organize for systemic change

Who We Are

Faith in Action Alabama is a multiracial, multifaith faith-based community organizing project established in 2016. We are dedicated to developing grassroots leaders and building powerful communities to achieve systemic change that dismantles racism and creates pathways of opportunity for all Alabamians.

Who We Are

Our Core Work

Leadership Development:

Faith in Action Alabama serves as a platform for people of faith to further strengthen their leadership skills to mobilize their communities and develop and lead campaigns that promote public policies that will improve the material conditions of all Alabamians.

Community Building/Campaigns:

Uniting diverse communities to organize and lead campaigns for systemic change across Alabama.

Faith As Compass
Faith in Action Alabama looks to wisdom and insight of the various traditions to guide and inform its vision and work. In addition, Faith in Action Alabama brings together faith leaders from different spiritual traditions to build and deepen relationships among these individuals. Exposure to insights from different faiths increases understanding and enriches faith leaders’ spiritual vision.
